Preface to Antisemitism and the Tribe

Preface

It has been some decades past the Holocaust and the establishment of the Jewish State. And once again antisemitism has raised its head abetted from political forces on the left as well as the right.

The Jewish people briefly united in most part after the Holocaust have fallen back into the divisiveness that has been one of its traits from time past.

It is my objective in this survey of the history of this people to attempt to identify the ideas and mode of being that have kept this people separate from others eliciting both pride in their being and hatred from enemies who from ancient times resented a “people that will dwell alone.”

Consider the modern world and its intellectual origins. Love them or hate them where would we be without: Moses, Jesus, Spinoza, Marx, Freud and Einstein and countless others.
